Resolutions, Revolutions, and Rhythms: My 2026 Vibe Check

Another year, another fresh start. The confetti is gone, the fireworks have faded, and somewhere, a gym membership I barely used in 2025 has silently auto-renewed. Let's be honest: my relationship with resolutions is… complicated.

Last year, I aimed for weight loss and somehow ended up gaining more than just perspective. I vowed to build a musical empire around DJ culture but pivoted hard into a new startup (I’ve lost count, honestly). On the plus side, I did finally see a doctor, so one goal didn't completely ghost me!

The truth about resolutions is they start off like a hyped-up hit single—all shine and endless loops. Then February rolls in like a disruptive remix, changing the entire vibe. Priorities shift, energy pivots, and suddenly, you’re dancing to a completely different beat.

That's life, though. Things change. We change. And frankly, that constant rhythm shift is what keeps the creative fire burning. This year, I'm ditching the pursuit of perfection for the clarity of alignment.

For 2026, my focus is laser-sharp: DJs and live performers—the authentic heartbeat of the culture. I'm talking about the storytellers whose mixes can't be programmed, whose timing is pure human magic, and whose energy machines can't replicate. AI is a great assist, but it can't feel the bass drop the way we do.
